Our Story

We are Danny and Mark, two chefs who met whilst working at a bustling cafe on one of Cornwall’s finest beaches. After a couple of years working alongside each other, we realised that both of us wanted to branch out from seasonal work and put our years of experience in the industry to use and so, over large quantities of coffee and cinnamon buns – the brainstorming began.

With a head full of ideas and bags of enthusiasm, we set about building our dream on a family farm based in the hills between Falmouth and Truro. After months of planning, menu writing and recipe testing, AVO Cornish Catering Company was born.

Two years later and AVO has become more than we ever imagined, growing and developing with each season and the incredible produce it has to offer.

We have recently built AVO HQ, a prep kitchen nestled between Truro and Falmouth where we host tastings, meet clients and create our bespoke menus for your special events.
