Our Story

We are Danny and Mark, two chefs who met whilst working at a bustling café on one of Cornwall’s finest beaches.

After a couple of years working together, we realised we both wanted to channel our experience into building something of our own. Over countless cups of coffee and plenty of conversation, the idea for AVO Catering Co began to take shape.

What started as a simple idea soon grew into a family-run catering company built around exceptional food, sustainability and genuine hospitality.

Armed with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm, we set about building AVO on a family farm in the hills between Falmouth and Truro. After months of planning, recipe testing and refining our menus, AVO Catering Co was born.

AVO has grown far beyond what we first imagined. Each season has shaped and refined what we do, guided by a passion for exceptional food and the outstanding produce Cornwall has to offer.

We built AVO HQ as our dedicated kitchen and creative space between Truro and Falmouth — a place to host tastings, meet clients, and design bespoke menus for weddings, events and celebrations across Cornwall.
